When the fuel light comes on?


Always wondered you see. Although at first mine goes off and the needle crawls back up when i brake

Yeh i mean milage wise. before the car went off the road, money was tight so the fuel light was my bestfriend

Thought it was a gallon on most cars, sometimes two. So whatever your MPG is, that's how many miles are left

around 40miles in most cars, fuel amount is depends on the car ect

this is due to motorway service stations being 30miles apart or some thing like that

my brother was running his on the light last week, got to the petrol station to fill up and it took 39.80 litres, his saxo has a 40 litre tank

in my old Vectra, the fuel light came on, then when it was really low the fuel light would flash. Ive drove about 10-15 miles with it flashing and would fill up to 69 litres, Which used to piss me off, because when i got the car new, the first time I filled it up I put 73 litres in it!

Which means I dont trust the fuel lights anymore

in my leon the light comes on with 40miles left although i have done 26miles with it saying 0 range.

Couldn't tell you with the Civic tbh. Soon as I'm in the red I'm away to get fuel, and even then if I boot it I nearly go through the windscreen sometimes with a fuel cut

ever since i fitted my lockwood dials i've not seen the fuel light, the dials dont let it shine through
