I have started to use collectplus.co.uk

Plus points- £3.99 for a jiffy bag insured up to £50 or £4.99 for a large box insured up to £50.

I sent a nintendo wii for £5.99 as it had £100 insurance and it arrived the same day to the customer!

You drop your items off at local shops. Used it last week in fact

paisley freight for big and heavy stuff, make sure you use the 'postage calculator' on their site though and not the different options they have listed, you will end up paying more

Parcel 2 go, using the TNT service, cos I know what time it will get picked up within a 3 hour window or so (instead of 7-6 like most couriers)

Just tried to book a bonnet with Paisley, quoted 13.19 based on the size and weight, refunded me because its a bonnet.

Want 25 for it the same size and weight just because of what it is.

Be aware that the booking calculator isn't worth a carrot if you have an item they want to quote for more on.

I would avoid Parcel 2 go, they don't turn up on the agreed dates and is more bad reviews for them then good ones.
