Man Airport has a "free" spot also, not sure how safe it is at night however as I have only been here once at night.

You simply park at the holiday inn, and walk through the national trust walk or the emergency road to from the roundabout immediately after the second tunnel under the runway.

Liverpool airport has a road at the end of the runway. Can park on that and pretty much stand on the fence at the end of the runway. Flights stop at around 11 though

IIRC thats been changed now however I would certainly not recommend parking there at night on your own.
Speke isn't the best of places when shit hits the fan!
