I have a c20let with a f29 gearbox fitted...

Problem I have is that it doesnt lock into gear as it should so something is wrong. If i push it into gear using the selector ontop of the box, with the car jacked into the air(one side at a time as only have 1 jack) I can spin the disc/shaft and it makes like a weird clicky/grindy noise

I have removed the clutch inspection plate and when I then spin the disc/shaft I can hear it sounds like the noise is coming from this area

What could it be? help needed asap please

Car is/was pretty much good to go but this has halted progress

Mine made a noise similar when the shafts weren't in properly but that shouldn't stop it going in to gear

right i dont think its due to not going into gear fully

had a proper look and it does it all the time when a shaft is spun

what could cause it? how do u mean your shafts werent in properly darryl

They look like they are in but it wasn't clicked all the way properly so made some wierd noises and wouldn't move, give them a knock in further (in to the box)
