hi chaps
I have just swapped from using a wide rib belt to a v belt setup
the V belt early alternator didnt come with a bracket to mount it to the engine and it doesnt look to be the same as the wide belt alternator
does anyone have a picture of the mounting bracket? can I use another one from a different vaux?

Does the single v alternator not have the mounting point at the top and bottom like the multi v alternator then? (I can't see in the single v pic)

You need the mounting bracket to go with the alternator that your guna use. The multi v alt is solid mounted to the engine and the single v alt uses brackets with rubber bushes in so it can move slightly. I run the alt in the top picture with the single pulley set up that is in the second pic if that's any help.
