Can you still buy plates in the above format? Pre 1980 or whenever. I have looked on dvla and newereg with out luck.

Think DVLA stopped selling them and you have to buy them through another dealer e.g http://www.plates4less.co.uk/plates/search-suffix-number-plates.asp

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
