As i wrote on here yesterday i was trying to get the old boss kit off, it eventually did after much perswasion.
I went to fit the new one this morning and when i push the boss kit on the steering column goes in. Does this mean ive knackerd the steering column?

Do you have to give it quite a bit of force for it to push in? If you do, then i know what it is
If you get a mate to push down on the boss, and you stick your head underneath the dash, you'll see a square shape bar moving in and out of a folded bit of metal (its right at the top, just by where the dash finishes and the steering linkage becomes visible). This metal will have a shiny Torx bolt on it, and if you tigthen this while its being pushed down, it'll stop moving
Hope this helps, Rob
