anybody know what else could cause this? no matter what i do it always comes back! my car is a 1.4 8v SRi, i've tried replaced the speedo sender, tried a different set of clocks and even tried a different ECU but it still comes back, could damage to the ignition cause this? as someone tried to steal it and stapped the steering lock?

I'd check over the wiring if you haven't already.

will have a look, but forgot to add the car was working fine til i stripped it down to change the headgasket and some cunts tried nicking it while it was stripped, ever since i rebuilt it its been dodgy
