Think this was one of the main causes of my "dodgy steering"
These were brand new from VW about 4yrs ago, probaby done about 40,000miles.
Found there was no grease used when it was fitted and the rubber boot was all loose, the pipe linking the boots was missing altogether.
Could barely move it by hand, and only in one direction

i kinda estimating the mileage and years, can look it up, but know it was when i got all my bank charge money back from barclays and spent £900 on car bits 
i know i've done 60,000miles in it since i've had it
