hi lads got a c16xe in my corsa fitted with powerbox
when you drive along and dip clutch the revs go up and down from 2000rpm - 1100rpm and it will only idle at 1000rpm when stood still, when your it 5th gear it feels like its driving its self.
also when your stood still the revs will go up and down on there own..
anyone got any ideas what could be up as its got me going crazy now..
any help appreciated

cleaning stuff like that with WD40 isnt a good idea mate. the crap sticks to it so it clogs up quicker, i swear by STP carb cleaner for stuff like that
the gasket nice and tight dez?

Mines just started doing this today now! Pulled up in a parking space earlier and the revs were going all wierd. Came back and started it up and it was revving way too high but calmed down after about 5 seconds. Then on the way home I noticed it just going by itself in 3rd and 4th. I could take my foot off the pedal and it would carry on! Also revving by itself on idle
dezzy.kay let me know if the find the cause mate. Gonna have a look at mine now

Cheers Fazza! The EML is on constantly on mine anyway (no SAI) But I'll flash the codes again to see if anything new has popped up.
Gonna check for air leaks first then if not I'll get a new ICV ordered or try cleaning it up Pain in the ass to swap over on powerbox'd cars though as the inlet has to come off

I've just changed my cam pulley sensor tOday and it seems to have cured the lumpy idle and cutting out whilst driving along for now! Fingers crossed!

A lot of powerboxes can leak air from where they mount to the lower inlet, depends how flat they are underneeth and whether they are bowing up when the bolts are torqued up. Try fitting the gasket with a lil silicone either side?
