OK I'm going to sound stupid here, but here goes:

A couple of weeks ago I saw a car a BP garage, it looked like an American supercar. It was left hand drive and had a huge bonnet.

I tried to get a look at the logo as I didn't know what it was, from what I remember, it was a P with 2 lines either side, a bit like \\ P //.

But my memory is a bit rusty, and I only caught a glimpse of it. But people were taking photos of it and speaking to the driver, so I assume it's something pretty special.

Any ideas?

The logo is a little red arrow type thing for Pontiac isn't it?

BTW - it might not have been American, it just looked American, IMO.

was the only American car starting with P that I could think of - how old was the car? relatively recent, old or brand new?

According to Wikipedia, there's only two American car companies beginning with P, Plymouth and Pontiac, and Plymouth ended in 2001
