anyone have any ideas where i can get a recon bottom end for a X16XE. checked ebay and google but nothing there?

Its not really something you will be able to pick up with ease. Not a big market for them so not as if places will have them stocked up ready to go.

Best bet will be to just search the Vauxhall forums and hope for the best, you may get lucky.

I would of thought buying an engine and finding a place to rebuild would be much easier

I'd have thought that too - for the amount of money Vauxhall would charge for a recon, you could get a higher spec engine built from old parts.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, just getting a bottom end rebuilt. Any rough ideas how much that would cost?
