141'd someone on Saturday night, as I didn't want them having my number. Put the phone down, and got a text straight away afterwards. WTFBBQ

I double checked, and it definately had 141 infront. What's happened here

you usualy go to your settings and change it to privet 141 dosnt work on most smart phones due to them having setting to hide your number in settings

I dont think it does mate or many other smartphones these days

Normally you can go into call settings and choose "manual", "always hide" or "always show". If always show is ticked then it wont matter if you put 141 infront, they will still see the number.

Just tried it from an iPhone on giffgaff and an Orange Desire S and it worked on both.

Type in #31# before the number, works on all mobile networks.

Just turn off caller ID in settings.
