Flashed my ECU today and its saying the crank sensor has no signal. Checked the connections etc and its all fine so its looking like I need a new crank sensor.

I'm a bit stumped though as its receiving fuel, I thought it would only receive fuel if the crank sensor was working?

Actually code 31 is normal when the engine isn't running so maybe its not the crank sensor. Really baffled at this

Don't think it is at fault, I'm told the fuel pump relay won't kick in either if the crank sensor isn't working so I'm guessing its fine.

Only earths that I touched was 3 on the fuel rail and there all back on fine.

Going to check the main gearbox to chassis earth as Col suggested in the last thread, it wasn't touched though don't think thats at fault.

Worth a shot

There's so much it could be if it isn't sparking which makes it more of a pain!

The most common that seems to be popping up is water in the ecu. But not sure if you have already checked that?

check you're getting power to the coil first, then that can narrow down what you have left
