The engine management lights come on after about 15 mins of driving, plugged it into a machine and it told me there was "low voltage over lambda sensor"

Is it essential to replace this? Ie will it damage my engine if I use it like this till payday? I don't notice any rough performance or anything when the lights on..

If yes, can I just clean it? Or do I have to buy new?

Won't damage your engine. Needs to be sorted before MOT time though. Best bet is buy a new one. Price varies on quality as per usual.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
