I recently bought low millage 1.4 8v sri corsa engine because i blew up my old sri 8v. this new engine i got came with a f15 gearbox and the old 1 had a f13 gearbox. i fitted the new engine with the f15 but changed the clutch to a paddle clucth but when i fitted it i couldnt get a full clucth but before with the f13 i was getting a clutch. i am wondering the the differences are between the 2 boxes as they seem exactly the same and the paddle clutch i have fits the input shaft to the f15 and it is engaging slighty but not enough to select gears. Any help would be great thanks ross

they are the same pal, only the gear ratios inside are slightly different

I knew that but i cant understand why i cant get a clutch with the f15 when i can with the f13 when i am using the same fly wheel, clutch and pressure plate lol.

Doesnt the 15 run the bigger clutch and pot type flywheel?

The f15 came with this engine which is very strange for it to come standard with a c14se. i am only thinking it came standard because everything is like brand new and its as if its never been split untill i split it. i compared and measured the flywheel and pressure plate and there the same as whats on my old engine. i still yet have to measure and compare the 3 clutch plates i have which is a standard f13 plate, paddle f13 plate and a f15 plate. i did here the f13 and f15 plates are different so i will measure and check them because to my eye at 1st i didnt notice anything

i've got a c14se with an f15, came straight out of an sri aswell like that

Its weired because when you try find out any info for them they only list a f13 box with a c14se. I measured the clutch plates and it seems the only difference there is is where the input shaft slides on the f13 plate it is 10mm shorter than the f15 so thats why it isnt engaging fully.

mine had a 14nv bottom end so i reckon it had been messed with
