Just moved house, had to pay for a van and loads of diesel and now don't have a penny to my name. Hassle you don't need really.

I do and mine's been fine throughout this whole thing. Paid £2k out on the card on Friday and withdrew £250 from a machine on Saturday, no issues at all.

I'm sure it will be just one of the 'little glitches' they expect over the next week or so after the monumental cockup last Friday

Go into your local branch if you've got problems with your accounts?

Most people are using excuse of the fact they work 9-5, but they're opening later in many branches.
A friend working in a branch, has been staying as late as 11pm to help out customers.

They're giving you cash if you need it to, they just manually take your details. It was £50 last week but I've heard that people are getting more than that now - this might help fazza actually.

My work use it to pay wages and no one has been paid since Friday.
It's a joke. Although will be a few days between pays this week.

It will be interesting to see what happens after the event RE compensation. Natwest have just talked about "Making sure no-one is out of pocket"
So if someone had to go and work on a Saturday sorting out a companies wages with people not getting paid when they normally wouldn't, your not out of pocket but IMO you do deserve compensation.
It will be interesting to see how many customers move.

Would be silly moving, not like it's a regular occruance and you can bet your ass they won't do this again.

although it is highly annoying and frustrating, card dint work on Saturday I personally in ten years with Natwest have never had a problem and always found them to be exceptional.
I will not be claiming anything nor would I as mitstakes can happen and in the company I work for its typical of people to just automatically want compo in the claim society with live in.
they have been regulary updating people with emails etc which is far more then most companies would do. Its how they rectify it and how well they communicate, therefore I am overall happy with them and will continue to use them, as Brett says you can be assured it will not happen again.

Can't you just arrange a BACS transfer/faster payment to your supplier's bank account - you can use your phone banking or arrange it in a branch. Inconvenience I know, but it's an alternative to nothing.

Having watch a few interviews with Natwest PR / directors it does not fill me with confidence.
"It was a hardware problem"
"It was a software problem"
Latest..."It looks like its a software problem"
I would expect by now that they know exactly what went wrong.
Its also very surprising to see how long it took to fix. Having been involved in the software side used by some banks the amount of safeguards to avoid problems are pretty extensive and multiple fail-safes too.
Quite disconcerting to know the amount of transactions going through our product
