im looking to do a coversion on my 1.2 8v b. but have no idea about engines, any suggestions for outright speed and costs etc. thanks

For the C20XE/LET and the C20NE/SEH you have a good base as the corsa 8v's are really straight forward according to the web.

The main deciding factor will be your age and NCB for insurance and how much you are willing to spend/do to get a different engine in the car.

xe is the cheaper option and parts and engine are evrywhere lol

just make a list of what you need and start to price up and have fun

Xe is an easy conversion on a 1.2 8v. Probably cheapest of them all aswell.

cheers guys, now i just need the funds haha, sounds like a plan greg have to see what my insurance is like. im only 19 with 1 year ncb. could get pricey

And not only that... An xe or let usually says vauxhall on te top of the engine... U say it urself u dont know about engines u wernt to know, u fort it was a little more pokey than ur mates haha

I thought I was cool by not telling my insurance about my engine and mods when I was young and daft(just turned (18) ect, till I got stopped on my way home from work... worst day of my life! I had to learn the hard way its not worth the hassle with the police just pay the extra saves you from losing your car!!
