My wheel wobble problems are still happening at around 70mph even with the new wheels on. My mechanic suggested it may be the CV joints.
I'm not getting any steering clunking but I jacked the car up to inspect anyway. The boots seem to be in good condition but the shaft does move backwards and forwards.

Are they kaput? My mechanic also suggested it may be the tri axle I think it was.
Here's also an up to date list of everything carried out so far to try and get rid of the problem:
Ball joints
Track rod ends
Driver's side track rod
Different wheels and tyres
Different suspension
New top mounts
New upper strut bearings
Tracking and balancing
Also the brakes and wheel bearings seem to be fine.
Thanks.

Sounds like the only thing you haven't done.
Do you know the mechanic well? Sounds like he's taking you for a ride.

Fair enough just seems a lot of work for it to not be sorted. If it was the cv joints I'm sure it would've been picked up earlier.

I cant see the video cause on my phone, but you should be able to move the driveshafts in and out as this allows for changes in length while going over bumps etc

The only thing left would be inner cv or the driveshafts bent

Simon, my mechanic only had a look at it last week and hasn't done any work on it. All of the things on the done list are things I've done by going for the obvious things first and working my way through.

Is there any way I can check definitively if it is the CV joints or inner CVs? Any tests I can do?

Sound, I think It's my irrational hatred of mechanics that's coming through.

Haha, I'm always very sceptical with them too. Not with this guy though, I trust him.

Someone's suggested it could be the hub itself is warped or something. Anything I can check on it that would indicate damage?
