Looking for some advice regarding Edinburgh as a stag party/couple of nights out destination?

Fingers crossed, it will be decent as it is already booked and paid for, but can anyone recommend a good night for a group of 10 lads (<30yrs old).

Decent bars, clubs, places to avoid, places to see etc.

Any steer would be appreciated.

Thanks
Byron

Grassmarket is decent enough. Tbh there is plenty places to go and plenty pubs to hit.Not really any specific area's where you would want to stick around in all night. Burke and Hair is probably the best titty bar.

But a group of 10, you will need to split up as you won't get in most places. 2 groups of 5 will be fine.

Some places wont let you in with trainers on either.

Candy bar on george street is pretty good.

Bar kohl aka vodka bar is good, 3 sisters is always a laugh and full of stag and hen nights.
Loads of clubs scattered all over the place, as said two smaller groups and shoes not trainers are advised.

Edinburgh, where the culture is huge and many English people come to University. I think you kick around with the wrong people.

You doing a Friday and Saturday night buddy? Fridays are probably better up George St now and Saturdays in the Grassmarket / Rose Street or West End.

Friday: Friday afternoon and evening good on George St as it's full of office birds getting hammered, your single pals will have a great time

Le Monde
Living Room
Alexander Graham Bells
Candy Bar
Tiger Lilly
Tonic
All Bar One
Ricks Bar
Why Not - Club underneath the Dome
Shanghai - Club underneath Le Monde

Saturday Afternoon:

Omni Centre - Full of Lloyds, Walkabout etc - good for football
Grassmarket - Stag and hen Do central - Three Sisters most popular
Brauhouse on Lauriston Place - Over 100 beers to choose from
Rose Street - Any boozer wil be busy but typical old man type bars

Saturday night:
West End - Prive Council / Sygn bar / Harrys Bar (just for a laugh - full of cougars) / Rutland Bar
Bridges - Revolution Bar / Bar Kohl / Villager / Frankensteins
The Newsrooms on Leith St just up from Omni Centre

Clubs:

Cavendish - it's a bit rough but you will all get in and have a good time
Jam House
City on Market Street - hen do's seem to go here
The One below under the Rutland
Berlin - if you have any rave fiends in your group

Strippers:

Fantasy palace at the West End
Burke and Hair - top of Grassmarket
The Western - worth it just for a laugh
Liquorice Rooms at Tollcross

If it's Sunny and your able to sit outside then try Cargo and Hide Out at the Canal basin near Tollcross!

Think thats it! Have fun!

We apologise in advance for the mess our council has made of our City Centre

Fountain Court Apartments! Very nice

They are on Grove St and literally overlook the Canal Basin where Cargo and Hyde Out bar is mate! Really good place to stay. Its also stumbling distance from Cavendish

For some food McKirdys on Morrison St isnt far from there as is the Haymarket Bar. Topkapi for a Kebab is a must too

Also loads to do on Lothian Road but best to avoid that neck of the woods from 3am

On Thursday night get yourself up the bridges then George St as it's stoodent night and there will be loads going on!

I went out in Edinburgh on a stag do with a group of guys recently and got the knock back from pretty much everywhere we went. For that reason I thought it was turd. We went to one place where there were no doorman and the bar staff tried explaining it was only food orders tonight which clearly wasnt true when there were people standing straight in front of us drinking. They really hate groups there however it was fringe period so maybe different at other times.

On the other hand i went out in Aberdeen with an even larger group of lads in stag do fancy dress and there was absolutely no problems getting in anywhere and everybody loved us.

We went Edinburgh for my mates Stag earlier in the year.

We went to western bar and spent a few quid, in and out every pub/club no hassle in our group

3 Sisters was also good, cant remember any other places.

And there was 2 girls in western bar that took us to a private room and done a lesbo act for us.

Would go back again for definate, probably go to more places tbh.
