I'm considering doing a bit of vinyl wrapping to some of my dash parts, just to mix it up a bit
Companies on eBay sell vinyl sheets and say they are bubble free, this can't be guaranteed, can it?
On another note, if sticking to plastic dash parts, should I prep them as if I was going to paint them for a smoother service for them to stick to?

Just make sure they are nice and smooth to start with and you should be okay. You will need to clean the panels first to make sure there is no grease or silicone on them.
The vinyl comes with small channels on the reverse side which allows air bubbles to be pushed out to the edges. It's really easy to work with if you have a proper heat gun. Me and a few mates did my Mini over a weekend.
We didn't get a single problem bubble or crease in it and we hadn't wrapped a car before.

Considering you have done a car, how difficult do you think it would be to do the surround for the speedo clocks?
