hia all,

made my a EGR blacking plate today and fitted it.

the problem is the engine light stays on because it's not connected up obviously. is there any way to turn the light off?

really don't want to plug it back in and have it laying around in the engine bay tbh

thanks toby

I couldnt find away to turn light out and found blanking egr did nothing for bhp. Ended up going for stand alone ecu due to contiued fault codes due to all the mods to the engine, that lead to the throtle bodies though! you could pull the wiring out of the loom and hide the egr valve under the scutle panel?

yeah still got them. you would need to put a resistor of some sort where the egr vavle is conected. most people ive spoken to blank it off between the housing and head then leave the valve in place. thats what i did. you got rid of secondary air pump to?

Secondary Air pump is attached the pipe that goes over the top of the exhaust manifold and then into it.

It's used to help bring the Cat up to operating temperature quicker - bin it.

you tried a drive in one with bodies? not realy an everyday car. needs good runs and to be able to rev out no good for ploding in trafic but great fun on the open road and a great sound! mine cost around £5k for the parts, mapping and machining. you'll have balancer shafts, bin them! lightend flywheel helps to.
