for some reason i cant get away from my sump leaking the equivelant of a 2 pence piece size patch of oil every time it gets warm and park it up. i have replaced to gasket 3 times and it quells the problem for a matter of weeks then it starts to leak again. head doing to say the least!!!

What sump gasket are using mate? Just a 2.0 16v one?

yeah its the genuine gasket ive used both times,i even gobbed it ut the second time rounud with sealant??

People tend to use the 2.0 8v gasket that's got baffle fixed to the gasket.

The original 2.0 16v gaskets have the baffle and gasket separate so there's more chance of it leaking.

I got mine of Autovaux,give them a ring and just say i want the 2.0 8v gasket/baffle and they'll know what you mean,you'll need the shortened 8mm sump bolts too.
