Looking for a wee bit of help for my mate here lads

its a w plate sport shell with a redtop conversion gm head dizzy cap
went into ma mates garage to get gearbox done and welded up engine was not touched atall
gearbox installed etc then the car would not fire up battery was removed and then placed back in and car would no fire up please note that the car has a toad alarm in it so was wondering if this would coz this
also when it does fire up it misfires alot. when the afm is plugged in it revs up very slowly then when its unplugged it ticks over at 1k but still misfires????

any help advice would be great cheerz

Was the gearbox to chassis earth reconnected with box?

yes thanks for the reply was a broken wire in the temp sensor plug
