My old mans had 2 of these and I loved them. Don't see many anymore especially in this condition. Better looking than the 205 IMO.

Here we have my cherry red 309 GTI in immaculate condition, it really has to be seen to be appreciated.

I will start with the pics 1st

As u can tell from the pics they are rare in this condition and spec
It comes with MOT till august 2013 and tax untill 2/2013 it massive folder with the original hand books, receipts for thousands in work and parts, and every MOT certificate the car has had from new, in date order. The car is fitted with a piranha thm800 thatcham cat 1 alarm which operates the central locking on all doors inc tailgate and the certificate of installation is included.

Bodywork condition is superb, no dents or rust present through out. The car was profesionally restored in 2006 because factory paintwork had faded slightly. The underbody is solid. The wheels were painted in anthricite with a silver rim to replicate the goodwood versions, pirelli P 6000 tyres with loads of tread. Also a point to make is the bumpers and side mouldings have been re-textured by a profesional bumper repair man (thats not back to black) !

The engine was rebuilt and modified 3 years ago to include a new clutch, new bearing shells, piston rings, balanced pistons, new bottom liner seals, head gasket and bolts etc. Modifications include ported cylinder head with new valve guides and cut seats, piper 285 rally camshaft, raised compression ratio, twin weber 45's jetted for the engine, piper exhaust and magnex 4 branch manifold, modded dizzy by H+H ignition systems. B+M uprated engine mounts are also present.

The standard car handles very well but, just to compliment, a set of spax shocks and springs with adj rear keep the body roll just rightThe interior is immaculate with headrests to the rear and autostyle fitted mats. The driver's seat is covered to protect it. All the electrics work fine including the new fog lights and driving lights in the bumper. The vacuum sunroof works, as does the remote operated rear side windows. The heater fan is not noisy.

Music system is a kenwood head unit, fly speakers fitted in the original door card pods and vibe 6 x 9's installed in a stealth parcel shelf

In fantastic mechanical and bodywork condition there is probably more ive missed!
classic car insurance cost me £100 per year!
MOT till end august 2013
tax 2/2013

Price £2250
Im open to swaps and px though

Nice

Very car

I had a goodwood once upon a time, was a decent car, but I found the 205 better.

not keen, nowhere as good as a 205 in my eyes. Always preferred the 405mi16's too

I love the look of them. Most say that they handle better than the 205 as well due to the wider track. The mi16 405 is bloody rare but if I was goin to the trouble of finding one I'd just hold out for the t16 version. Only problem is there lhd only.

Bloke selling it is from near me. Never seen the car it's apparantly in storage. Price has been reduced to 1800 if I remember rightly.

Think it was good wood but looks like they have grey wheels. Must of been thinking of something else with the gold wheels.
