iPhone is being replaced tomorrow. I've done a "backup" in iTunes

When i get the new phone, will that said backup be able to be restored to the new/different phone?

The reason why i ask is because i have a specific app which i use for me work (double authentication token app) and installing it from fresh is a ball-ache.

So, if i restore the backup onto the new handset (well, lets not get carried away here...it's a 3Gs)...will it just work on the new phone?

Thanks

When you plug the new iphone in it will say do you want to set up as a new phone or restore from a backup within itunes.

select that option and then it will confirm the name of your old iphone (Aarons iPhone 3GS for example) and then swap it all onto the new phone.

usually takes 30 or so minutes when we do them instore here
