Sounds like some kind of spyware, are you using Google directly or via toolbar?

Either way download Malwarebytes and do a scan.

go through control panel -> Add/Remove Programs

Look for anything like;

deal helper
shopper helper
??? toolbar

remove the whole lot and reboot your pc

You have adware, probably from a toolbar that is hidden rather than uninstalled

Look in add/remove programs like has been said, but do a full virus scan too

It's spyware, not virus. Get ccleaner, and spybot search and destroy, that should do it

Computers aint my strong point, they bore the hell out of me!

I know enough to get by, basically turn on and use the net.

Right, so far I have tried all of the above and nothing.

Downloaded all the antivirus listed above and still nothing, it cant find anything.

Loked through the hardware and cant see anything, removed anything that looks suspicious and it still does it.

Even re booted the computer and its still doing it!

Really annoying when you are trying to find things online!

Are you using Internet Explorer?

Download Chrome and use that instead?

Not really a solution, but might get around it
