Yeah, there's not much reason to start from scratch these days, tbh. 45$ WordPress theme, bit of custom colours, textures and of course logo and content and you're set.

Something like this, but just change background and logo:

Also has the huge benefit of being responsive so fits mobile devices.

Just google content slider. Lots of JQuery and HTML5 stuff about.

Spot on Except I got my theme for $20 with a load of other stuff because Theme Forest had some kind of sale thing on Need to get some photos so I can finish mine off
