My current setup is getting rather old now. Despite the fact that it played COD MW3 very well (not on max settings though), i feel as though it needs to be updated (it is about 4 and a half years old tbh)

Current setup is as follows:

Asus P5Q SE Motherboard
Intel e8400 CPU
4GB Corsair RAM (unsure of the actual model)
Corsair 620w Modular PSU
Nvidia 8800GT GPU
Antec P182 Case
Asus Silent Knight 2 CPU Cooler

Ideally, i'd like to keep the PSU and case, but i'm happy to upgrade everything else.

Truth be told, i aren't much of a hardware person, and therefore i aren't sure if the bundle below is a rip-off or a good deal (this was one which Overclockers personally recommended to me after i contacted them via e mail)

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-001-GI&groupid=43&catid=2384&subcat=2288

They also recommended this GPU, which seems quite expensive:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-283-AS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=2379

I use the computer for playing COD (2 to the Black Ops 2...and all versions in the middle), web browsing and porno.

My gut feeling is that the bundle is a good one, but i aren't sure about the graphics card.

Any thoughts?

What they have recommended is fine.
Bundle is a great spec, gotta love the i5's for the low price and great performance.

A graphics card is a very personal choice. You generally get what you pay for.

If its slightly over budget, then tell us the budget and we can find a card for that value.

Nvidia definitely have the edge on performance, but AMD isn't THAT far behind but do tend to be a lot cheaper.

If you wanted to save £40 on a graphics card, then Id look at Sapphire HD 7870 GHz Edition 2048MB GDDR5 its about the best you'll buy in that price bracket.

Cool, thanks for the info. I think i'm going to go with the products recommended by Overclockers. I was just a tad worried that they were trying to sell me some old tat to clear the storerooms

Looks to be a good setup to me. I just want it to be future proof for a few years. My current setup has lasted 2 years longer than i thought it would have, so i can't really complain i guess

Personally I would go for a gpu that allows you use of nvidia physx, some of the affects that allows you to see over non nvidia physx gpu's is rather lovely, something like borderlands 2 for example looks so much better with Physx enabled.
