My workings:
I first of all looked at the time of your post (ToP) and then used my brain to remember that most of the nation will be using the mobile bandwidths to SMS friends and family as well as a minority trying to make drunken phone calls.
With the above worked out, I took the ToP and written it out into Hours and Minutes to advise you of how long it took you to make the post after the initial 12am rush on the networks.
I then remembered that CS do Titles at the end of each year and added the above to a title I wanted you to claim

It's still been on and off all day for me, but yeah iMessage works with the wifi as expected
