Yep, got to feel pretty gutted for them but at the same time I bet the people that currently own spitfires are pretty happy. The market could have been flooded with them and given them a fair knock down on the value.

all it says it that they believe there are no planes in the places they are digging, not that they don't exist at all.

it's just another example of dodgy tabloid articles misleading people who don't read them properly.
