maybe they use 150g to make 100g pepperami , by the time its cooked its reduced in size? something like that

As above, 150% of the weight I the final product is used, the '50%' is lost in the process of dehydration.

I've fished a local lake about 30 times and never caught a fish there, one day i put a bit of black pepperami on the hook and literally 20mins later i caught a 22lb common

Never worked again though and still don't catch from there, is hard.
