How long?? From what i can see from some digging, its only been on about 6 months. It still looks fresh and im certain he's just chucked it on the way it is just now.

mine started to break up underneath after around 5k miles. its quite low and had been rubbing in the snow/ice. if the tie bands break it will start to unravel its self and come loose, or if they were not done up tight in the first place?

The tie bands are still tight, as is the area where they are attached, its just the rest of it isn't tight.

Will it be ok to remove it and re-fit it a bit tighter??

The metal ties are a pain to get tight tbh.

you will probably find it will break up if you try removing it.

my wrap caused my manifold to crack.

swapped to a stainless one and didnt wrap it

Only really wrapping mine because the VHT paint always seems to burn off quickly so painted it,wrapped it then going to paint the wrap.Hopefully should last a big longer.
