Right took my engine cover to a classic car restoration place, just a small unit 1 guy working for himself that does soda & media blasting for my rocker cover to be soda blasted specifically as i didn't want it blasted any other way due to the risk of grains of sand ect getting trapped in the corners ect and finding its way into the engine.

So picked it up from blasting today and he has bead blasted it instead as he said the soda wouldn't remove the paint. When i dropped it off i said i only wanted the outside doing and he has ended up doing the inside also.

So im now not sure if it will be safe to use this cover now the inside has been bead blasted (glass beads im guessing due to the sparkle finish on the cover)

Do you think its safe to use or not?

a simple power wash and blow down and it be fine whats there to worry about, if its dust and grit free its fine? i work as a bead blaster and also do chemical dipping, we clean parts for multi million pound semiconductor machines which can not have a single spec of dust present, the process we do is dip-blast-powerwash-ultrasonic notice there is no dipping after blasting! so think you be safe with a rocker cover, this is my profession also if it was glass it be shiny, something between 100-60 grit looks more accurate
