How much a new windscreen will cost for a x reg corsa sxi (Old shape) or have any ideas how to clean the one i have got as it is covered in something that makes it impossible to see out of in the wet as it just smears!

Anew screen will cost a lot. Have you tried cleaning the screen with a branded cleaner Mer, Autoglym etc? Try cleaning it before resorting to a new screen.

Sounds like its got greese or maybe car wax on it.
Use car shampoo on it to degreese it and then somethign liek windowlene to remove smears.
I can't imagine anything so stubborn that youd replace the glass!
Also sre your wipers ok?

Have tried all the best makes but nothing seems to shift it! Tried autoglym, white vinegar, engine degreaser, might try and steam clean it see if that helps!

what about white spirit? or Sugar Soap?

I have tried white spirit but not sugar soap yet! Will try that thanks mate!
I do a lot of driving down country roads so i think it might be some sort of pesticide that the farmer use or something!
