iv been looking into gearbox ratio's as im trying to get the perfect gearbox for my project build, i dont need to be going over 140- 145mph
what gearbox do you think id be best off with? max rpm will be 7,000, anybody maxxed out a f13wide? my idea is to try to get all power used and not wasted

haha yh it took a little while to get used to but it pulled great in any gear tbh it was quite good on fuel too tbf as i got used to coasting in it as you didnt really need a throttle to get it to 40mph

im running a cavaliers f18, no problems and it gets some stick! got a quaiffe atb diff in there to.
a vectra b f18 would give better accelaration due to lower ratio final drive.

yes, vectras run on larger wheels than other vauxhalls with f18.
using f23 from a vectra in my corsa c z22se, 70mph is around 3200rpm in 5th. not so good for cruising but get there quick enough.

i think i read somewhere that there are two different ratios aswell, i think the individual gear ratios are different but the final drive ends up the same? unless the info i read was wrong :/
