replacing it is the simple part,
how do i install windows ect after, will it fire up ect ?
other things to srt with a new drive?

If you're BIOS picks it up automatically then it's as simple as just putting a windows installation cd in and pressing the keys when prompted on screen.

hopefully that works out then, however i need to find said disk now :/
the laptp currently works but extremely slow likely to just be the hhd

i have a bust internal and external hdd now 
are most internals compatiable? might go grab one from pc world so i have a new one today,
