I don't find Liverpool 1 that nice for food. Pesto is alright. Red Hot I've been twice since it opened and the meat is just fatty.
Bella Italia in town does good food. It's always mad busy though so expect to wait.
Cheers for the heads up Lee, will give Hannah's a miss I think. I'm a fussy bugger to be honest

Yeah Rod Hot is pretty crap, and for a buffet style restaurant there isnt much choice I find. Not the biggest fan of L1 myself but everyone has different tastes.

Red Hot is shit, now you mention it, avoid that one.
The others are OK.
Pesto/Las Iguanas/Zizzi/Yee Rah are all good.
There's a Jamie's Italian a short walk as well, never been but that's going to be OK.
Hannahs is good but its more of a lunch meal than dinner, chicken club bagette type of thing. Nice but I've never been there for an evening meal.
You'd need to park on street as well, Roscoe/Rodney/Pilgrim Street
That would also give you Fly in the Loaf which is an old mans pub but the best selection of beer that side of town, other bars are close if you want to live a bit dangerously while you're there. 3345 Parr Street, Alma de Cuba etc.
What time you up in the morning

There's some decent places to in town that aren't in L1. Heard good things about Viva Brazil on castle street, then there's also places like Picallino's, or San Carlo (if you're feeling flush), Hard days night all in that area too.
No idea about Curry houses though, sorry!

Flight is 0730 Ian so not too bad, but would have been a 2-3am start if staying at home Monday night!
The "old man" pub sounds quite appealing tbh, do they do food? It only needs to be an average meal if there is beer on offer!

I've got a 6am flight from manchester on 21st, I decided against a hotel airport as would have had to be up at 4am (wheareas will be up at 2.30/3am anyway at home). I'm seriously not looking forward to that flight if our 6 month old decides he's waking up for the day at 3am

We got to Liverpool and decided we couldn't be arsed going into town so tried the rib place "Damons".
Really nice ribs, fell off the bone etc... Portions a bit small for my liking though
