Agreed. First one was dreadful, in fact, how they made Avengers Assemble in to a good film on the back of all the individual abortions I have no idea.

First installment was what it was. Didn't take itself too seriously and was an enjoyable watch.

In fact the missus even liked it, which is quite something.

Being a comin book port, you have to accept its going to be slightly cheesy super-hero, plenty of action with lots of special effects, the same as all the others.

I found it enjoyable, not amazing but by no means bad.
