as above, the engine is the 1.4 16v.
i all ready know about inlet manifold
i'm also thinkin of drilled air box with a performance panel filter
and maybe a janspeed exhaust manifold, sports cat maybe (dunno who do these) custom exhaust cat back
i don't know wot else or is this enough
also will i ave to remap ECU or a chip????
I want to keep the engine reliable as well
wot BHP/torqe (sp) do u think i'll see with these engine mods
cheers
EDIT: i don't want mega BHP

u have a 1.4 16v sport an exhaust manifold will achieve 5/6% power gain which is 97bhp add a custom exhaust ur lookin at around or just over 100 bhp, a panel filter u will gain sound and if ur lucky 1-2 bhp at the most fit a inlet manifold and a unichip an some cams and ur well away m8
u could see 125/130bhp with all this even more maybe

The inlet manifolds are the way forward, even with a standard exhaust and filter, the mantzel type products are the best bhp/£.

sort out your exhaust system and manifold then go for the power boxes, cams and Daztec then you are talking a healthy 130bhp costly for that much break though

Wrong fool. More power can be gained from a drilled airbox and performance panel filter than any stupid induction kit.

Now now Dave, no need to be so harsh
But he is correct. Vauxhall engines work better with the original air box and panel filter + some drill holes.
As said, inlet manifold is a good mod, as is an exhaust manifold. (lexmaul £315, Janspeed £170). Difference being one is mild steel n one is stainless, both 4-2-1.
Bin the cat or get a sports cat.
Flow the inlet manifold ports and exhaust manifold, pocketd pistons, cams (256, or 264, or higher for more pull at higher revs), valve springs, aliminium cam belt tensioner, rod bolts, and ur sorted. Should be on the upper end of 130bhp if setup right

Disagree, for the cost of an exhaust system and manifold you could get the powerbox and that will release much more power than than any exhaust.
