Its about half of the torx head thats snapped off. Tried chappin a socket onto it. But doesnt seem to be enough left to grip. Tried putting a channel init with screwdriver n chisel. But would make a diffrence

Stud extractor sockets mate you knock them on the stud and they have a left hand thread so all you do is stick a ratchet on the ed and wind it out

Is it easy enough to so without wrecking the head? Ie metal shavings etc. And is there a special drill bit or any metal one do?

I ended up snapping the ball end of an allen key off in an XE head bolt. Chiselled the head till I removed the bastard and it was an unrecognisable mess then got an 18mm blacksmiths (reduced shank) drill and removed the head of the bolt. I was lucky, it ended up that i could remove the stud that was left turning it with a magnet.

drill it out, use some thick grease around the head to help contain the swarf.

Any idea on what kinda drill bit I need? Head will be sent away for skim n pressure test after its off aswell
