Not a corsa, but I live in New Zealand now and my wife has a 2001 Mitsubishi Airtrek (Jap). The speakers went tinny and quiet about 6 months ago and then the whole stereo packed in. I've replaced the head unit with a new one, but the speakers are still quiet and tinny. Anyone any ideas what it could be or what could cause it?

Cheers

Sounds like a bad earth / wiring issue.
