Does anyone know of any fairly simple modifications that can be made to the part of the linkage that is inside the car in order to make the changes a bit quicker? Reason I ask is cause the whole linkage is out of the car atm and I've already got a quick shift so just looking for some inspiration

What does that do? Would I need to use rose joints for it?

That metal rod is a replacement for the standard plastic one.

Not a 'mod' as such, just an improved part over the original that will last longer.

Probably has no bearing on your vehicle but on my VW T4, i've just had a new gear selector bush fitted and its made no end of difference to neatness of gear change.
