I'd tell the wife to drive it more and get used to it.

Parking sensors don't make a car smaller. It is a big car.

This.

Mines thought the 3 series was huge, until she drove it and got used to it, now its just normal. 4x4 for her next apparently

Much better choice than the current 1-series, imo. And I usually do prefer BMW's.

Or, if the Q3 was in the right ballpark, what about the X1? Had one for a couple of days when it first came out and it's a proper nice car.

I would have thought depreciation will be a big hit

3 series is nicer but if it makes financial sense then its worth while rather than having the 3 sat on the drive for 5 days out of 7

AMG Sport in South Sea Blue. Lots of road presence.

Just looked them up and a A220 CDI AMG is £27,415 on the road; which is similar to the Q3. They are nice but think the 1 series looks nicer.

Its not so much financial sense because mine is only worth around £25K; its more just getting use out of it rather than it wasting on the drive

Am I the only one to like the new 1series?

Still think you would be a tool to swap the 3 for it though

They look better on the road and an improvement over the older version but still not the nicest looking motor.
