Hi Guys,
Need a little help...
I'm changing the driveshafts in my Corsa C as need something a lot stronger than standards. I plan to fit a F28 gearbox to the Z18XE engine (yes it fits) and plan to get custom shafts..
However, what to find out what other people have done when running the F28. Ideally I want to keep my standard hubs, will this work? What spec are the Corsa B upgrade shafts, would these fit?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
Nathan

Same shafts as the f20 gearbox,as for upgrade shafts you won`t need any stronger shafts if it`s a z18.

I don`t bud but griffin autosport can be found on ebay and i have someone on here who is a friend of them so me be able to help or get a price. If you are running fairly good bhp/torque then equal length shafts would be better for you as it helps to limit torque steer.

Yeah thats true, but fitting a half shaft mount to a Z18 isnt easy, thats a serious amount of stress on the block, and with no flat surfraces to mount to, it wont be easy...

Unsure what the Corsa VXR's are...
Here's a question, what size are the standard F28 shafts (diameter) Also - are these the 22 splined ones?

Following this, are F20 driveshafts the same as F28?

That's good news! So no more strength in the shaft?

An f28 would be totally pointless on a 1.8, unless its running around the 300bhp mark?

it will be yes, aiming for around 360bhp, and running a GT2860RS at full boost

Wouldn't an f23 be a better fit in a corsa c?

Nope, awful box, don't like the fact it's cable operated, plus nt as strong and like the 6 speed idea... Plus I have the box already so no going back....

F23 is quite proven to be as strong as the f28, they also use them in rear engine v8 drag cars in the states.
And the cable shift feels about a million times better than the best shifter setup for a f28, an oh yeah it can be bolted into a corsa c using all standard vauxhall bits,
Each to their own I guess.

That's fair enough, and yes, I know the F23 bolts straight in, but I personally dont like the cable operation and much prefer the rod and linkage. Also, the ratios seem very wide :/
The fabrication for the mounts isn't going to be a problem, as most bits have been custom fabricated so far.
