Just trying to fit my quick release Sparco boss but im a bit stuck with one of the horn wires (Yellow/green stripe) that connects to the metal ring which the steering wheel fits onto,it has a tab on it where the yellow/green wire pushes onto but im not sure if i am to still use this metal ring because the bolts wont reach through to the boss but if i am to leave the metal ring off they will reach but where am i suppose to connect the wire because i will have no tab to connect it to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The metal ring is earth and the horn push itself should have an earth tab that presses into the metal ring.. Should be fine with a wire

Picture fixed.
The problem is i can't fit the metal earth ring because the bolts be long enough and not sure if it will be safe the way it sits against the quick release part.The picture should give you an idea what i mean.

Isn't that the half that bolts to the boss? And the metal ring should help seat the horn push on the wheel. So I'd say don't bother with it mate

Will the the horn still work without the earth ring & wire connected?

Should do, I never had one on my corsa as it earths from the push direct into the steering wheel
|
