Anybody got one?

Looking for a half decent one but don't wanna splash out £300 on a go pro. Can anybody recommend anything. Seem some polaroid ones, with mounting kits for £50-£90 quid.

Cheers

Surfdome have a Contour Camera for £152 and a couple of friends swear by them as they're not as chunky as a GoPro.

There will be plenty out there for your price.

But simple theory is. Cheaper the camera, worse the picture.

And don't forget with bright white , sun and changing conditions including wet and stacking, you're going to want a half decent one!

These seem to be an all round better package, puts the Go pros to shame.

Thought they rang a bell. Contour went out of business but has supposedly been bought up by one of the original investment companies.

Before they reform (and if you're not too worried about warranty) you might get a good deal on it.

Buy it off a big firm like Surfdome and you won't have an issue returning if* it's faulty

GoPro's actually have quite a bad record for failures but they operate an 'apple like' warranty... They'll pretty much replace anything as long as its in once piece..

I've had them for years and touch wood no problems! Biggest failure rate I've heard of is the 3 which I've steered clear of

I've got a HD2, 3 White, 3 Silver and a 3 Black.. The only one I've had problems with was the HD2 which was swapped out free of charge even though it was a year out of warranty

The 3 Black is by far the best of the bunch.
