Looking at one in the next few days hopefully.

530 Msport. Manual.

Are they guilty for much?

Front to rears, front wishbone rear bushes. Water pump, viscous fan barings. I know on the dervs the turbos and injectors are common. Think that's it though?

I love my 530d sport. Up for sale atm. 2k takes it. Diesels common for inlet manifolds, turbos. Few other bits. All in all extremely well put together. I drive and work on newer cars all day and even now id say quality wise as good as if not better then the majority of newer Cars on the road. Believe it or not my 5 series also absolutely Loves to go sideways, madly more than my old 230bhp 330d. Strange.

Chain driven so not many problems.

Coil packs can go, cam cover seal leaks.
As long as oil been changed engine should be good

waterpump, viscous fan can be weak so can cause overheating

My mate had one and topped his engine oil using the pas fluid reservoir.

I have a 525i sport.

Only thing that ive saw is the radiator cracking - plastic shit. Also found the plastic water pump cracked so did that also.

Nice car, but I wish I had a manual when pressing on. Its awesome to cruise about in though.

Only see 25 mpg average though on my 10 mile drive to work, at very modest speeds. Its the auto box that drinks it. Im sure driving the same I could push into 30's.

Does show 39 mpg with cruise on at 70 mph though.
