Author possible ignition fault

the engine electronic warning light comes on when i start the engine and it seems to struggle starting the engine, but when cruising at 30 mph with my foot on the clutch and turning the car off and starting again whilst still in motion (eg. bump starting) the car runs fine and the light doesn't come on, could this be a fault with the ignition
