I cant say GM make the best auto boxes but they certainly aren't the worst.. unless its an Astra/Corsa ECO-Spastic

Whats everyones opinion on the Astra J 1.7 110bhp? I am just looking at lots of different cars at the moment and wonder how it would do a motorway muncher?

I commute 130 miles a day and need something reliable and economical.

I had been looking at the like of a Octavia VRs, but trying to find parking in Dublin can be difficult at the best of times, and picking a car a whole 1m longer than my current Astra makes little sense at the moment.
